Arn Strasser was born in Zurich, Switzerland and grew up in Great Neck, New York. He attended Michigan State University where he received a BA and MA in history. Strasser received a doctorate in chiropractic from Western States College of Chiropractic.

Arn Strasser was trained as an architect and has a master's in architecture from the University of Oregon. Strasser's architectural experience has strongly influenced his work as an artist. He presently lives and works in Portland, Oregon where he practices chiropractic and maintains his studio.
